Flexibility in Fishing Trips
Importance of Flexibility
Flexibility in the type of fishing trip is crucial. There are occasions when we are unable to pursue the primary target fish you signed up for. Reasons may include inclement weather, emergencies, or temporary government fishing restrictions by area or species.
Weather Constraints
For example, if the weather is too rough for offshore fishing targeting lingcod and rockcod, we prioritize safety and fish closer to shore for the next best option (Captain’s Choice).
Government Restrictions
Another scenario could arise if we are scheduled to fish for salmon and the Department of Fish and Game declares an emergency closure after we have planned the trip. Instead of canceling the trip entirely, we will fish for the next best option (Captain’s Choice).
Fishing Conditions
Suppose you signed up for a tuna trip. If the tuna fishing has been exceptionally slow, the captain might determine that we have minimal chances of catching tuna. Instead of enduring a 12-hour boat ride with little success, we will target the next best species, and any cost difference will be refunded.
Commitment to Fishing Success
Our goal is always to target the fish you signed up for. However, sometimes Mother Nature or government authorities have different plans. We remain flexible to ensure a successful fishing trip, even if it means targeting a different species. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as well.
